It’s been a long time coming, but it’s officially safe to declare that Elon Musk’s dream of “free speech” on Twitter, whatever it may have been, is dead. It died as it lived: confusingly, underwhelmingly, and at the vainglorious whims of the man who dreamt it.
If you pay Musk for this meaningless mark you’ll also get increased algorithmic visibility of your tweets and the power to drown out non-paying users. Which mean all the fakes and imposters can (and will) overwrite the real-deal on Twitter.
The real fight is not between right and left, but rather between humanists and extinctionists,I'll just let that soak in, some will understand this statement, some won't, clearly.
Elephant Civics@ElephantCivicsBREAKING: I have found a list of sites excluded from ChatGPT-4. I will explain how I found this, but first, here is a portion of the list. This list contains hundreds of names, but ALL conservative news outlets seem to be included.
Mark Ransome said: Ok, maybe I am completely ignorant, I keep seeing things about it but never looked into it, but what exactly is ChatGBT?
ChatGBT has really grown in interest. So many people are using it now and if you are not careful, you will have a hard time discerning the difference between real news, a portrait etc.
I recently read that ChatGBT was seasonally depressed....the developers said that ChatGBT learned that people get depressed during late fall and winter and tend to not work as hard, so ChatGBT was not putting out as much information and was making hallucinations. I just have to throw my hands up on all of this.
I found this interesting op-ed article written about Twitter from the past and some history of what made it popular verses how "X" is now under new management...."cough*.....
In the heady days of the millennial media startup boom of the 2010s, the sense that large social platforms would pay publishers for content and create a new class of lucrative digital media outlets was pervasive and unquestioned. And in those early years, no one knew which platforms would succeed. It is almost impossible to believe, but there was a time when Twitter felt like a real competitor to Facebook.
