The Atlantic Hurricane season has awakened and it's most unusual to have five storms in the Atlantic at one time. I've seen four storms but five is unique. The southern Texas coast is going to get pounded by a tropical storm due to a low pressure system that formed in the Gulf of Mexico this week. The storm won't infiltrate into central Texas and will stay local at the coast. The other storms will stay in the Atlantic and either stay out to sea or come closer to the East Coast. Puerto Rico and the Dominica Republic are going to feel some stormy weather due to Hurricane Franklin heading due North.

Hurricane season has come alive in the Atlantic Ocean, rather suddenly after several weeks of little to no tropical activity. The National Hurricane Center is tracking five tropical systems, two of which are likely to impact land areas, although none of the systems look to be as significant as Tropical Storm Hilary has been in the Pacific.
