Winter Storm Kassandra

    Winter Storm Kassandra is moving into the central plains tonight....wreaking havoc with rain in the southern plains and snow a bit further north.

    W​inter storm warnings, winter storm watches and winter weather advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service along the current and future path of Kassandra.

    Those alerts extend from the Southern Rockies, northwest Texas and Oklahoma into the Midwest, including Amarillo, Texas, Oklahoma City, St. Louis and Indianapolis.
    Expect hazardous travel conditions in some of these areas because of the snowfall.

    Best of luck you keep your power on and the storm will pass without being too much of a menace.

    Winter Storm Kassandra proved to be full of might in southern Texas bringing along a tornado through Pasadena, Texas. Pasadena is right around the Houston area, near the ports. The destruction is pretty severe.

    For us in North Texas, we had a wintry mix during the evening and fortunately, we never hit the freezing mark of 32 degrees, and the temperature continued to climb a bit through out the night. The bonus was we kept power.
