Crayons

    I can remember when I was a kid I used to like to melt crayons on the sidewalk. Mom wasn't fond of me doing that though. Hard to believe that it got hot enough in Maine to do that. We would get up to the 90's but usually not too high.

    Anyone else do things in the heat?

    I'm sure your mom would get a giant wedgie when you used crayons on the sidewalk. :D

    I used chalk a lot on the sidewalk. We rode our bikes, careening down the hill on our street. We had a Flexi-Rider which was known as a Texas Sleigh, because it was a sled with wheels. That too was a very fun activity. I had a trapeze hanging from a large tree I used to hang from, lol. Our first house when I was super young, had an above the ground pool. Summers were fun with outside activities paired with food cooked on the grill.
