So, did anyone know a Chinese rocket space trash landed somewhere in Texas?

According to the track, the rocket section entered the atmosphere over West Texas near Marathon before heading on a northeast track between Abilene and Austin.

“U.S. Space Command can confirm the People’s Republic of China CZ-2D Rocket Body, SCC# 52910, reentered the Earth’s atmosphere over the southern region of North America at approximately 8:30 pm [Mountain Time] on March 7, 2023,”reads a statement from SPACECOM following an earlier version of this post.

“This was an uncontrolled reentry, meaning it was not steered but rather its orbit decayed and lowered naturally. This type of behavior reinforces the need for better international norms regarding high-risk uncontrolled reentries.”

Texas currently has legislation planned for gold backed digital currency.

    https://blog.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2023/03/texas-bill-would-create-state-issued-gold-backed-digital-currency/ />

Bills introduced in the Texas House and Senate would create a state-issued, gold-backed digital currency. Enactment of this legislation would create an option for people to transact business in sound money, set the stage to undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money, and possibly create a viable alternative to a central bank digital currency (CBDC).

Texas case may affect the termination to access of the abortion pill.

    https://medicalxpress.com/news/2023-03-abortion-pill-threat-texas-court.html />

US abortion opponents are hoping for a national ban on a widely used abortion pill when their lawsuit against government drug regulators is argued Wednesday in the Texas court of a deeply conservative judge believed to be sympathetic to their cause.

I was torn rather to post this in the "Texas" discussion section or the other thread in the forums on the topic of abortion. I will just link that here for extra reading on how our members tackled this difficult discussion.

Leprosy in Texas, also known as Hansen's disease. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/leprosy-in-texas-doctors-shocked-to-discover-mans-rash-was-actually-a-case-of-killer-medieval-disease/ar-AA1eB3t9

According to “Critical Challenge” of the Journal of the American Medical Association, the roots of the leprosy may date from the young man’s time in Samoa. He moved to Texas in 2019.

Leprosy is caused by a bacteria and curable with antibiotics if caught early. While it's not common to be found in the United States, it is known that armadillo's carry the bacteria and Texas has a lot of armadillo's. Florida is also experiencing an increase in this disease.

Lots of Texas news, the latest is Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was acquitted in his impeachment trial, however, I don't think it's over for him yet from the Federal side of the issues.

Here's an interesting article proposing changing Texas public schools summer vacations to another season since our summers are so hot. The author proposes Texas students go to school in the summer rather then have it off so children can be in aircon buildings during the summer.

Still, the long weeks of summer sequestration in my climate-controlled house got me thinking. If we can’t be outdoors in the summer, maybe we need to treat it like winter in the North. Should Texans reconsider our calendar? It might sound like the heat’s gotten to me, but hear me out.

Bird flu in Texas.  This strain of bird flu, HPAI, Avian Influenza, jumped from an infected dairy cow to a human.  Should we worry?

    https://www.vox.com/health/24118152/explain-it-to-me-bird-flu-human-case-texas-chickens-cows-animal-agriculture

“Although we don’t yet completely understand the factors that led to infection of the dairy cows with HPAI, it is possible that unique viral properties combined with epidemiological and environmental conditions all played a role for the spillover of HPAI into cattle,” said Diego Diel, an associate professor at Cornell University’s college of veterinary medicine.

I can recall an alternative doctor, many years ago, took a moment to stop and look out the window of her office and as she was speaking to me , she was looking at the birds flying across the lawn, said (paraphrasing) birds and the viruses they bring will cause significant harm to humans indefinitely.
