Climate Change and how it might affect Miami, Florida.

The only small piece of data I can add to Miami's plight of flooding inundation is that it is a known fact that Miami should have not been built on such unstable soil and swamp land.

Flood maps show the potential future of Miami.

These hurricane flood maps reveal the climate future for Miami

National Hurricane Center data for Miami, Washington, D.C., and New York City show development happening in at-risk areas, even as climate change brings more frequent and intense storms.

Hurricanes have the potential to do a lot of damage on their own, much less considering the current beach erosion conditions found at so many of our coastal towns and beaches. I'd like to see a better plan for preserving our beaches and protecting future erosion. Puerto Rico has clear designations for beaches and land that can not be built on based on the soil and geological conditions of each area. Maybe, less building and more care to preserve the land, rather then building homes for that beach property? No judging here. What's your opinion?
